NFC is for programmers that program for fun, but also care about serious computer science. Our presentations will focus on introducing hot new topics in algorithmics and programming language design. Expect talks on Logic Programming, Lisp, Erlang, Neural Networks, that sort of stuff. Our presenters are asked to keep their talks intellectually challenging but to not take themselves too seriously.
Meeting happen every two months. Formal meetings (with presenters) will be held at coLab Evanston on the second Monday of April, August, and December. These are followed by beer at the Lucky Platter. Informal meetings will be held at the Hopleaf in Uptown on the second Monday of February, June and October.
